We planned to use the school's Seward Studio for the shoot. This would allow us to get the stylistic, neo-noir feel we wanted for our opening as we could use the curtains available. Furthermore we could light the set in the way we wanted to easily, using spotlights and a light from above to achieve the look we wanted for the table. The lighting also allowed us to keep shadows across the faces of the characters. Eddie and Chris, our media technician, have planned how we are going to light each shot from different angles, taking into account which characters would be visible in which shots, this plan is shown on the left. The circles with letters represent where each character is sitting, while the triangles represent camera positions. We also had to think about what the props on the table would look like, the chips could not look too different between shots or it would be an obvious continuity error.
However this set does come with some difficulties. Firstly we have to put in a lot of planning into organising our actors. Since the studio was only available until late on certain days we had to work around these days, since it wouldn't be as productive to have shorter shoots. We have to make sure that our actors are all free on the days that are available for us to shoot, so we will notify them well in advance to make sure that they can commit to the set dates.

Secondly, it will take quite long for us to set up the lighting for each shot, as we will have to be changing the position and brightness of the lights we use. This combined with how long it takes to set up the camera jib may mean that we might not have enough time to shoot our shots, or we will have to be quite quick and efficient during the shoot.
