R+P Post 19: Our Rough Cut

After we had shot our test shoot, we decided to put all of the footage into a rough cut. We once again used Adobe Premiere Pro, replacing the shots in our animatic with the footage from the test shoot. We also worked with additional sounds, such as gunshot sound effects and background music, testing different kinds of music to see which genre was most appropriate.

An error in our shootboard led
 to us not getting a shot

We did find some mistakes while editing. For example there was one shot in which we forgotten to tell the actor to say their line due to an error in the  shootboard, we will have to revise the shootboard and check to see if there were any other mistakes made. We also realised that the lighting had to be greatly improved; there was so much light on the actors that we weren't able to get shadows across their faces as we had originally intended, the light also hit the black curtain we had been using as a backdrop and the floor, making them visible.
