R+P Post 18: Our Test Shoot

After much planning, we were able to finally have our test shoot. This gave us the opportunity to work with our actors and in our desired shoot location. However, one of our actors was unable to attend the shoot that day; despite this, the test shoot still proved to be a valuable experience and let us practice the lighting of the set and the framing of the shots. The actors were also able to get acquainted with their roles, which would hopefully result in a better performance in the main shoot.

The main use of this shoot was to let us spot any mistakes we made in our shots, and correct them in our main shoot. One mistake we spotted was the lighting of the shots, where we lit the scene, but kept it the same throughout the shoot. This meant that in some shots the lighting seemed strange, and in future we decided to light up each shot individually.
